We have a lot to drive the next couple of days. Not really much planned, but maybe on our way home, we can visit, Stockholm or Copenhagen. We’ll see.
It’s raining so there really isn’t that much to do besides driving anyway. So, on our way to Sweden’s Eastern coast!
As we drive the weather gets better and when we stop for the night it’s sunshine all over the place! We put our van next to a white sand beach in Robertsfors, not so far from Umea.
It’s “midsommar” today, the longest day of the year. There’s no more typical holiday for the Swedes. They gather around with friends and family in the countryside and sing, eat and make a bonfire.
Since we sadly don’t have any family here, we celebrate our own midsummer. A tasty dinner and a bonfire are the only thing we need. A beautiful night!
The next morning it’s raining again. And pretty hard. Time to make some more kilometers!
During this rainy day we hooked up with Sylvia Adams, who lives here. She asked us to pay her a visit as we were in Sweden, so hey, let’s do it! We’ll visit her tomorrow. Maybe we can watch the Red Devils together?
We drive all the way to Vallvik and get a place on a camping, we need a shower if we’re going to pay a visit to some other Belgians tomorrow, no?
The campsite is right at sea and when Sanne is showering, I take a few pictures of the rocky coast. The light could be better, but hey, I’m happy to make a photo. It’s been almost two days since my last decent nature photo.
After my shower we call it a night. Tomorrow is another day!
